Jets MRO takes pride in its employee-centric culture. Maggie Winfrey, the HR Director at Jets MRO, sheds light on what makes this company special in regards to how it treats its employees.
"It's easy for companies to say that employees are a priority, but very seldom do they actually put their employees first."

Putting Employees First
“It’s easy for companies to say that employees are a priority, but very seldom do they actually put their employees first,” Maggie explains. At Jets MRO, this commitment is evident from day one. New employees meet with their managers weekly for the first 90 days and bi-weekly thereafter. “This gives them a chance to talk about what their goals are and how we can help them reach their goals. Employees can bring up any concerns they have so we can address them and it also gives them a chance to share any ideas they have to improve the company.”
Open Communication at All Levels
One of the standout features of Jets MRO is its open communication policy. Maggie highlights that employees, regardless of their position, are encouraged to share their ideas and ask questions. This culture of inclusivity is reinforced through monthly all-company meetings led by the CEO. “Every month our CEO has an all-company meeting where he shares everything—our successes, our struggles, anything that we’re going through, anything that we’re working towards. And he gives everyone a chance at the end to ask any questions. He always says that nothing is off the table.”
Comprehensive Family Benefits
Jets MRO also stands out in its approach to employee benefits, especially concerning family coverage. “When we surveyed technicians in the past, we’ve often found that one of the major pain points is the cost of family benefits,” Maggie notes. Unlike many companies, Jets MRO offers three medical plans, one of which is fully covered by the company for both employees and their families. “That’s an incredibly unique thing that not many other companies do.”
In addition to medical benefits, Jets MRO offers dental and vision plans, fully covering employees and providing affordable buy up options for family members. The company invests approximately $13,500 annually per employee in benefits, equating to an additional $6.50 per hour towards their well-being. “A lot of times when technicians are looking at positions, they may be offered a job that’s a dollar or two more an hour, but when they’re making that decision, they’re not considering the details of the benefit packages and how much they will cost them,” Maggie explains.
Financial Transparency
Another unique aspect of Jets MRO is its commitment to financial transparency. “Our CEO believes strongly in financial transparency,” Maggie says. “Every month he meets with the whole team and shares where the company is at and how we’re doing. There is no question as to where the company stands.”
Looking Ahead
Jets MRO is not only dedicated to its current workforce but also to future growth and development. Exciting plans are in the works, including the expansion to a new, larger facility at Dallas Executive Airport. This expansion signifies the company’s commitment to growth and continued support for its employees.
Jets MRO’s dedication to employee well-being, open communication, comprehensive benefits, and financial transparency sets it apart as a supportive and forward-thinking workplace in the aviation industry.
