What the shop does

The Miami component repair station, in Hialeah, repairs metallic aircraft components that need fabrication, TIG welding, electric arc wire spray coating, chromate conversion coating or heat treat. It's a full machine shop with plasma welding, brazing, NDT and glass bead blasting, and it does overhaul repair and testing. Welding is done to AWS D17.1.

Typical work: ducts, housings, brackets, panels, seats, fittings and skins. Repairs are engineered in-house, including FAA-approved repairs, so the shop isn't limited to a fixed capability list. If a part fits these repair processes, it can be added by part number.
