A pre-buy runs on the deal's schedule, so the first problem is a hangar slot. Jets MRO keeps maintenance slot availability to get an aircraft into a pre-purchase inspection quickly, and the hangar at Dallas Executive Airport (KRBD) works Monday to Sunday, 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM Central. Weekends are normal operating days, at the normal rate.
The shop specializes in Citation, Challenger, Learjet and Hawker 400 / Beechjet, and inspects them under FAA Part 145 repair station certificate JROR542E.

Use our recommended criteria or bring your own. The basic package covers a general aircraft and engine records review, a systems and engine ground run, and a visual walk-around of the interior and exterior. Optional items can be added to the scope. If the aircraft is due for scheduled maintenance, those items can be worked in the same visit so the buyer takes delivery with them done. Discrepancies are listed on the work order. Unless the parties agree otherwise, the buyer and the owner receive identical written reports. Questions about the results are best raised while the aircraft and logbooks are still at the facility, and a Jets MRO representative is available to go through them.

What a pre-buy is, and isn't
A pre-buy is an assessment of the aircraft's condition and records. It doesn't certify that the aircraft is airworthy, it isn't an inspection for every possible discrepancy, such as hidden corrosion or structural damage, and it doesn't include a title or registration search. Jets MRO recommends the buyer fly a thorough flight check before the inspection, and again after any corrective work.
Corrective work isn't part of the pre-buy price. If the buyer or owner wants discrepancies fixed, Jets MRO can do it for an additional cost under a separate work order, at $150/hr labor.

Inspect and report
Discrepancies go on the work order. Buyer and owner get identical written reports unless agreed otherwise. Corrective work, if either party wants it, runs on a separate work order.
